Julia-roberts

Julia Fiona Roberts was born in Atlanta on the 28th of October, 1967 and was the child of Betty Lou Bredemus and Walter Grady Roberts. Roberts is part of the Robertses' fourth generation to reside in the Atlanta region, beginning from her maternal grandfather John Pendleton Roberts a farmer. Early on, her father started to be interested in the theater. He was an actor on stage on the Emory University campus in 1952 and was also involved in productions outside of Atlanta. He joined the Air Force in 1953. While located in Biloxi Mississippi was cast in an military production starring Betty Lou Bredemus who was as well in the air force. In 1955, they got married and their son Eric Anthony was born. Walter was enrolled in Tulane University, New Orleans Louisiana. In 1957, the couple were discharged from the air force and Walter started his education at Tulane. The family relocated in 1960 to Decatur Georgia where Walter began working at Atlanta's Academy Theater and the Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio. The year 1964 was when Walter along with Betty Lou began production on a local children's Saturday morning TV show titled Bum Bum and His Buddies which they financed themselves. They established an Actors and Writers Workshop in the same year. The workshop took six years to complete. During this time they also had two youngsters Lelisa (called Lisa) Billingsley in 1965, and Julia (called Julie) in 1967.
