Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou was born in Beaumont in the French city of Puy-de Domme on August 9 1976 the eldest among four kids. Since a young age, both her dental surgeon parents and her teacher mother encouraged her passion of drama and theater. This passion that trumps her first desire to become a primatologist. As a young woman, her rise to stardom was quick and accompanied by early recognition and success. After completing her studies She was a part of the French talent-spotting TV show Jeunes Premiers which was sponsored by Canal+. She won the award for the best young Actress award at Beziers Festival of Young Actors and began her professional career as an actor. Though she was a student at The Institut Catholique de Paris and was a member of the church during her childhood, Tautou is now averse to this upbringing, stating that she is not officially Catholic. In addition to acting, she pursued modelling and was the model in the advertising campaign for L'Oreal Mont Blanc as well as Chanel. Also, she has an intense passion for photography. She recently presented an exhibit of her work during the Arles Festival under the title Superficial. The majority of her photography is focused on celebrity and fame, and turns the camera on those who scrutinized her after her meteoric rise in fame and fortune with Amelie as well as several self-portraits. Audrey Tautou rose to fame and stardom with her major part in the film Le Fabuleux d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie achieved international success on the screen and was awarded awards across all over the world. It's the highest-grossing French film to be released in the United States. The success of this movie brought Tautou into a wide range of roles, from British dramas like Dirty Pretty Things by Stephen Knight and Jean Pierre Jeunet to Hollywood's The Da Vinci Code with Tom Hanks.
