Amy Lou Adams Amy Lou Adams (born on August 20th, 1974 in Aviano Italy). American actress. Famous for her naive and delightful characters. Adams was a seventh year old in Castle Rock Colorado. At the end of the 1990s, she began performing professionally and dancing at Boulder's Dinner Theatre and Country Dinner Playhouse. After that, she relocated to Minnesota and was cast in Drop Dead Gorgeous, a mock documentary film that explored beauty contests. After moving to Los Angeles, she pursued an acting career after her film debut in where she played a dizzy but friendly contestant. From June 1951 until September of 1962, she got engaged to the actor Tony Curtis. She is also the mother of Kelly Curtis & Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh began her filming career after signing a MGM contract in the late 1940s. She was discovered by actress and model Norma shearer. She starred in a number of cult films over the decade that followed, including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (from the year 1960) as well as Living It Up (1954) with Martin Lewis.
